What is the Hub?

Our Hub system built on the key principles of:

  • Efficient data amalgamation

  • Simple and efficient data visualisation

  • Consolidating S&C and Physio data

  • Creating community

  • Driving athlete intent

The Hub itself is divided into 11 key sections, all of which are outlined below along with why we designed the features as they are:

// DASHBOARDS

The Athlete and Group Dashboards provide an all-in-one performance monitoring solution for coaches. Designed with efficiency in mind, these dashboards offer instant access to key metrics and insights, eliminating unnecessary complexity so you can focus on optimizing athlete performance.

By analyzing historical performance data, you can identify trends, adjust training strategies, and set realistic goals. The Athlete Dashboard allows for seamless comparison across sessions, exercises, and groups, enabling quick profiling and performance evaluation. Customization options ensure a comprehensive view of each athlete’s physical outputs, helping to pinpoint strengths and areas for improvement.

The Group Dashboard provides an overview of multiple athletes, allowing for streamlined team or group management.

// LIVE

Creating a competitive training environment has been a key priority for our users. Hub Live enhances this by providing real-time leaderboards and activity feeds, ensuring instant feedback to drive performance.

Thanks to Hub’s cloud-based functionality, results instantaneous after an exercise is completed, fostering inter-athlete competition during a session. The Live Leaderboard and Activity Feed are displayed side by side, with filtering options for time periods, athletes and specific groups.

With real-time tracking, Hub Live helps maximize athlete intent and performance during training.

// ATHLETE HUB

Managing scattered performance data has been a significant challenge for sports professionals. From physiotherapists in elite rugby clubs to NCAA performance directors, practitioners need a system that seamlessly integrates wellness and performance tracking while offering clear data visualization options.

The Athlete Hub solves this by displaying all athlete profiles in alphabetical order, complete with traffic light indicators for key exercises. You can customize how athletes are sorted, prioritizing recently tested athletes, those needing attention, or top performers.

Clicking on an individual athlete provides in-depth performance analysis through interactive graphs and tables, making it easier to track progress and identify trends. The Load-Velocity (L-V) profiling section is also accessible here.

Additionally, the Athlete Hub also provides a comprehensive and practical place to store the data of individual athletes without the hassle of acquiring third party Athlete Management Systems.

Athletes can be added individually or in bulk, ensuring seamless data entry for streamlined testing.

// CHARTING

Beyond the built-in Athlete Hub charting, users requested a way to track multiple metrics on the same graph for deeper performance insights.

The Charting tool enables you to plot data for a selected athlete and visualize up to four exercises with corresponding metrics. If more than one exercise is selected, the average line and standard deviation are removed for clarity.

You can customize the time period and data aggregation method, with advanced options available for further personalization. Once configured, charts can be downloaded as an image, exported as a .CSV file, or viewed in full screen.

// GROUP HUB

Most users work with multiple athletes or teams, making it crucial to differentiate between groups, teams, positions, or training cohorts to track performance effectively.

The Group Hub streamlines this process by allowing you to create and manage groups based on any classification you choose. This ensures athlete management is fully customizable to your specific needs.

The graphing tool, which brings you to the 'Charting' section of Hub, provides a side-by-side comparison of athletes within a group, highlighting performance trends over time. It helps identify athletes excelling or falling behind, offering valuable insights for both coaches and athletes.

// LEADERBOARDS

Maximizing athlete intent during training or testing is essential. A live leaderboard helps drive competitiveness and effort within sessions.

The Hub Leaderboards feature allows you to create up to three different leaderboards, which can be customized based on exercise type, group, and time period. These leaderboards provide clear benchmarking opportunities, enabling coaches to track top performers and struggling athletes.

By fostering competition and accountability, leaderboards ensure athletes stay engaged and motivated to push their limits.

// REPORT GENERATION

Generating individual and team reports has traditionally been a time-consuming process. Coaches need to compile, interpret, and present data clearly—often for multiple athletes and teams. Reports are also essential for organizational communication, whether tracking rehab progress or informing parents and stakeholders about athlete development.

The Report Generation tool simplifies this by allowing you to create customizable reports for a single athlete or an entire group. You can select specific metrics, preferred display formats, and time periods, and even add notes for personalized feedback.

Once configured, reports can be saved as templates for future use, significantly reducing workload. Reports can be automatically emailed or downloaded as PDFs directly from the Hub.

// EXERCISE LIBRARY

Personalization is key. Users wanted the flexibility to create and track custom exercises alongside standard Output exercises.

The Exercise Library provides a comprehensive database of all available exercises, categorized by body segment, equipment, and metrics. Each exercise includes instructional videos and guidelines.

With the ‘+Add Exercise’ feature, you can create custom exercises that can be tracked and analyzed just like any other Output exercise, ensuring full flexibility in your training approach.

// WORKOUTS

At Output, we recognize that efficiency is critical. Coaches and athletes dedicate time and effort to training and rehabilitation, and performance tracking should enhance—not disrupt—that process.

The Workouts feature allows you to build structured sessions for training, testing, and monitoring. It streamlines session flow, reducing the need to switch between exercises manually. Athletes can progress through workouts independently, while coaches can execute testing protocols seamlessly.

This feature is particularly beneficial for S&C coaches and physiotherapists, allowing for more efficient session management while focusing on athlete development.

// EXPORT DATA

Some users need flexibility in handling their collected data, including the ability to export it for external analysis.

The Export Data feature allows you to extract data for a single athlete or an entire group. You can choose specific exercises, date ranges, and additional metrics such as weight, height, and wellness measurements.

For multiple exercises, there is an option to split files by exercise. All exported data can be viewed and analyzed in Excel or other external platforms.

// SETTINGS

Customization is central to Output // Hub. Users wanted control over organization branding, data visualization, and monitoring thresholds.

The Settings section allows you to:

  • Upload a profile picture (displayed in the Hub and on reports).

  • Customize preferences such as traffic light thresholds for athlete monitoring.

  • Manage account details, including passwords and subscription information.

  • Create and save report templates for efficiency.

The Settings section ensures that every aspect of the Hub is tailored to your needs, streamlining workflows and improving efficiency.
