So you have just received your Output sensor and may have some initial questions around usage and set-up, including logging in and pairing your sensor.

App Installation & Sensor Set-Up

Step 1 - downloading the app

For Android users

To get started, download the Output Capture app from the Google Play Store.

Once the Output Capture app has been downloaded, we recommend enabling auto-updates to ensure you are always on the latest version of our app.

Please note: You need to make sure you are downloading the correct version of the app. Please see screenshot below.

Important: Your Android device will need to be running at least Android 10 or higher, but the more recent the Android device the better

  • Models not supported; Samsung Galaxy Tab A models prior to 2023, Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

Note: If you require access to our non-play store Android APK, please download that here.

For iOS users;

To get started, download the Output Capture app from the App Store.

Once the Output Capture app has been downloaded, we recommend enabling auto-updates to ensure you are always on the latest version of our app.

Important: Your iOS device will need to be running at least iOS16.1 or higher

  • For iPads we recommend 9th generation or higher

  • Models not supported; iPad Air 2 or below, iPad mini 4 or below, iPhone 7 or below

Step 2 - turning on your sensor

Turn on your sensor by pressing and holding the button on the top right hand side of the sensor.

The lights will turn on/flash a blue colour.

Step 3 - login

Open the Capture app. You will be first prompted to login if you have not done so already.

Your initial login details will have been sent to you via email from [email protected]. You require internet to initially log into the Capture app.

Once in the app, select the sensor symbol on the top right-hand corner of the screen to access the setting menu.

Note: Please see this link on how you can change your initial password. Both the Hub and Capture app utilise the same login information.

Step 4 - pair your sensor

In the setting menu, select ‘Pair New Sensor’.

Under ‘Discovered Sensors’, select your sensor.

When connected, the lights will change to a slower blue flashing state, and a coloured circle will appear around the sensor icon on the top right hand side of the app on the home screen.

Then simply create a new athlete profile, or select from your existing profiles.

How to turn your sensor off

  • Turn off your sensor by closing the Capture app fully. This will differ depending on the device you are using, but is primarily done from swiping from the bottom of your phone screen. After roughly 5 minutes the sensor will then turn off itself, which is indicated when the lights are off.

    OR

  • You can also turn off your sensor by pressing and holding the button for 3s until the lights turn off. You will know the sensor has turned off when the lights are off.

  • Sensor

  • Sensor charging cable

  • Sensor pouch

  • Foot strap

  • Barbell strap

  • Three body straps (Red = Small, Blue = Medium, White = Large)
    ​(*Phone not included)

Note: your Output sensor may not be 100% fully charged when you receive it


Note: once you update your measurement system from either the Capture app or Hub it will sync across the other platform

Via the Capture app

  • Click on the top right corner of the app (sensor icon)

  • Scroll to ‘Capture’

  • Click on ‘Measurement System’

  • Change to your preferred measurement system

Via the Hub

  • Navigate to your ‘Settings’

  • Select 'Preferences'

  • Change to your preferred measurement system
