How to Duplicate a Workout in Calendars

Copy an existing workout to another date in an athlete or group calendar, without rebuilding the session.

Duplicating a workout

If you run the same session more than once, you no longer need to rebuild it. You can copy an existing workout to another date straight from the calendar.

There are two ways to do it:

  • Hover over the event in the calendar and choose Duplicate from the menu that appears.

  • Open the event and choose Duplicate from the menu inside the preview.

The copy is named after the original with Copy added to the end, so you can tell the two apart before you rename it.

What gets copied

The session content is copied exactly as it appears in that calendar — the same exercises, sets and prescriptions you can see on the event you duplicated.

The copy is always created as a Scheduled Workout, even if the original was part of a program. It stands on its own: editing it won't affect the program, and it isn't added to the program either. If you want the session to form part of a program, build it there instead.

Athlete and group calendars

Where the copy ends up depends on which calendar you duplicate from.

  • From an athlete's calendar — the copy is created for that athlete only. This holds even when the original was a group session, so duplicating a group event on one athlete's calendar won't schedule it for the rest of the group.

  • From a group calendar — the copy is created for everyone currently in the group. If you had excluded particular athletes from the original session, those exclusions are not carried over and the full group is included again.

Any individual overrides you had made on the original aren't copied either. It's worth a quick check of the new session before your athletes see it.

What you can't duplicate yet

  • Rest days — only workout events can be duplicated.

  • Several workouts at once.

  • A whole day or week of training.

Duplicating is available in Hub.
