How to use the Video feature on Capture

When using the Capture app you may want the ability to video the movement in conjunction with sensor measurements. This feature can help you in a number of ways, including determining the effectiveness of exercise technique adjustments and how they relate to performance through the objective data provided by the sensor.

You can turn on the video feature by tapping the video icon on the bottom right of the Capture pre-record screen.

  • - video feature is turned off

  • - video feature is turned on and the back camera is being used

  • - video feature is turned on and the front camera is being used

Via the 'Video Settings' (located within the 3 dots () on the top right of the Capture pre-record screen) you can;

  • Turn the video feature on & off

  • Choose which camera to use - back or front

  • Preview the video to see if you need to make any adjustments to your set-up

Once the exercise has been completed, the video will save to the device being used. If you are using an iOS device you will also be able to see the metrics on the video on the bottom right of the recording. This feature will be available soon for Android devices.

Tip: If the video feature is enabled, the video will save to the camera roll of the device used to capture the exercise.

Note: Your Capture app needs to be running at least 2.24.0 in order to use this feature. Here's a quick walkthrough on how to update your App.

The video below will take you through how the video recording feature functions on the Capture app.

Important: The metric overlay is currently only available for iOS devices. If you would like to see the metrics in the video on Android devices, we recommend screen recording on your device.
