Protected Coach Settings (PIN Lock) in Capture

Overview

Coaches using Capture on shared devices - such as iPads in schools, clubs, or team environments - can now protect coach-level settings using a PIN lock.

This helps prevent athletes from accidentally or intentionally accessing and changing important account or organisation settings.


Setting up your PIN

After the feature is enabled, coaches will be prompted to create a PIN the next time they log in.

Setup process

  1. Log in to Capture.

  2. Follow the PIN setup prompt.

  3. An email will also be sent to guide you through the setup process.

  4. Once configured, the Settings → Account screen will require PIN entry before access is granted.


How PIN protection works

  • Navigating to Settings → Account will trigger a PIN entry prompt.

  • Once account changes are completed, the PIN lock automatically resets.

  • A new PIN entry will be required the next time protected settings are accessed.

  • If you forget your PIN, use the Forgot PIN option on the PIN entry screen to reset it.

  • For security purposes, PIN setup and PIN removal both require password authentication.


What's protected?

The PIN lock currently protects:

  • Organisation Account Settings

    • Billing

    • Measurements

    • Default settings

  • Future coach-only features as they are released


Note: This feature is designed primarily for shared-device environments. PIN protection is optional and can be enabled or disabled at any time from Account Settings.
