We’ve introduced new visual and audio feedback features in the Capture app to make velocity-based training even more intuitive and engaging.
What’s New
You’ll now see colour-coded velocity feedback on the Measurement screen, metric output circle, and video overlay - helping athletes and coaches instantly recognise performance relative to set velocity targets.
Colour Feedback
When a velocity target is set, the app will now highlight performance using the following colour system:
Performance | Colour | Meaning |
Above Max Target | 🟨 Yellow | Athlete lifted faster than the maximum target |
Within Target Range | 🟩 Green | Athlete lifted within the target range |
Below Min Target | 🟥 Red | Athlete lifted below the minimum target |
This colour pattern appears in three places:
Bars on the measurement screen
Circle indicator next to the metric output
Video overlay styling
Audio Feedback
Audio cues now provide instant feedback on whether the athlete lifted within, above, or below their target range - allowing for quick adjustments without needing to check the screen.
A positive sound will play when the lift is within or above the set target range.
A lower-tone sound plays for below-target lifts.
Why It Matters
These updates are designed to help coaches and athletes:
Quickly interpret lift quality without stopping a session
Reinforce optimal velocity zones through immediate visual and audio feedback
Maintain better focus and flow during velocity-based training
Note: This feature is available in the latest version of the Output Capture app (2.39.0). Make sure you’ve updated to the most recent version via the App Store or Google Play.
