Skip
How to Skip an Exercise in the Capture App
The Capture app now allows for greater flexibility during workouts, including the ability to skip exercises or entire supersets during an active workout. This feature is especially useful if you don’t have access to equipment, are short on time, or need to modify the workout on the fly.
Key Rules on Skipping
You can skip a full exercise or an entire superset.
You cannot skip individual sets or reps within an exercise.
Once you start an exercise, you can no longer skip it - make sure to skip before logging any sets.
How to Skip an Exercise
From your active workout, find the exercise or superset you'd like to skip.
Tap the skip icon beside the exercise.
You’ll be prompted to select a reason for skipping:
Injury
No equipment
Fatigue
Short on time
Other (with optional details)
Tap Skip, and the exercise or superset will be marked as skipped in your workout log.
Check out this screen recording for reference:
Why Use the Skip Feature?
Quickly adapt your session when equipment isn’t available
Avoid exercises that might aggravate a current injury
Stay efficient when running low on time
Note: While athletes are asked to provide a reason when skipping an exercise (e.g., injury, no equipment, fatigue), this information is not yet shown in the interface.
Swap
How to Swap an Exercise in the Capture App
As part of our continued updates to increase flexibility and autonomy for athletes and coaches, the Swap Exercise feature now lets you substitute any exercise (or entire superset) during an active workout in the Capture app.
What Can You Swap?
An individual exercise within a superset
The entire superset (both exercises together)
You can also undo a swap if needed
How to Swap an Exercise
Look for the Swap icon next to the exercise or superset you'd like to change.
Tap it to open the Swap Exercise modal.
You’ll see options to:
Swap entire set

Tap your chosen option, then use:
The search bar

Select your replacement exercise and confirm.

Undo a Swap
If you change your mind or tapped the wrong replacement, simply tap "Undo swap" underneath the modified superset or exercise.
Use Cases for Swapping
You don't have access to the prescribed equipment
You’re progressing or regressing a movement for an athlete
You want to swap in a custom exercise variation mid-session
Note: Once you start an exercise (i.e., log a set), you can no longer swap it. Always make sure to swap before beginning any reps or logging data.
Add New Sets & Exercises
How to Add New Sets & Exercises
Open an Active Workout
Start your workout in the Capture app.
From within the workout, you can now add warm-up sets, working sets, or new exercises.
Add a Set and/or Exercise
Tap Add set to insert a new Warm up set or Working set into your current workout.
Tap Add exercise to insert a new exercise into your current workout.
Track Your Sets
Once a set is complete, the row will automatically display the recorded weight and reps.
Select the set to review detailed measurements.
Warm-Up vs Working Sets
When adding a set, you can now label it as either:
Warm-Up Set → Logged as prep work to help you build toward your working weight.
Working Set → Logged as your main training set, typically used for tracking progress over time.
This makes it easier to separate practice lifts from training loads in your session.
Note: Choosing Warm-Up or Working Set is not yet shown in the workout summary once your session is complete. Your set data (weight, reps, measurements) will still be stored as normal.
