How to Skip an Exercise in the Capture App (Workout Feature)

The Capture app now allows for greater flexibility during workouts, including the ability to skip exercises or entire supersets during an active workout. This feature is especially useful if you don’t have access to equipment, are short on time, or need to modify the workout on the fly.

Key Rules on Skipping

  • You can skip a full exercise or an entire superset.

  • You cannot skip individual sets or reps within an exercise.

  • Once you start an exercise, you can no longer skip it - make sure to skip before logging any sets.

How to Skip an Exercise

  1. From your active workout, find the exercise or superset you'd like to skip.

  2. Tap the skip icon beside the exercise.

  3. You’ll be prompted to select a reason for skipping:

    • Injury

    • No equipment

    • Fatigue

    • Short on time

    • Other (with optional details)

  4. Tap Skip, and the exercise or superset will be marked as skipped in your workout log.

Why Use the Skip Feature?

  • Quickly adapt your session when equipment isn’t available

  • Avoid exercises that might aggravate a current injury

  • Stay efficient when running low on time

How to Swap an Exercise in the Capture App (Workout Feature)

As part of our continued updates to increase flexibility and autonomy for athletes and coaches, the Swap Exercise feature now lets you substitute any exercise (or entire superset) during an active workout in the Capture app.

What Can You Swap?

  • An individual exercise within a superset

  • The entire superset (both exercises together)

  • You can also undo a swap if needed

How to Swap an Exercise

  1. Look for the Swap icon next to the exercise or superset you'd like to change.

  2. Tap it to open the Swap Exercise modal.

  3. You’ll see options to:

    • Swap entire set

    • Swap individual exercises (e.g., just the Bench Press or Drop Jump)

  4. Tap your chosen option, then use:

    • The search bar

    • The category filter (e.g. Strength, Mobility, Jumps, etc.)

  5. Select your replacement exercise and confirm.

Your new exercise will now appear in the active workout.

Undo a Swap

  • If you change your mind or tapped the wrong replacement, simply tap "Undo swap" underneath the modified superset or exercise.

Use Cases for Swapping

  • You don't have access to the prescribed equipment

  • You’re progressing or regressing a movement for an athlete

  • You want to swap in a custom exercise variation mid-session

Note: Once you start an exercise (i.e., log a set), you can no longer swap it. Always make sure to swap before beginning any reps or logging data.
