Creating and Using Circuits

Circuits let you prescribe warm-ups, cooldowns, conditioning and rehab work as a structured, repeatable part of a workout, instead of writing it into a notes field.

Creating a Circuit

  1. Go to the Exercise Library and select the Circuits tab.

  2. Select Add Circuit.

  3. Name the Circuit and choose its type: Conditioning, Warm-Up, Cooldown, Rehab, Challenge, or Speed & Agility.

  4. Write the description. This is where the actual prescription lives (for example "3 rounds: 250m row, 10 push-ups, for time"). Basic text formatting is supported.

  5. Choose an athlete input, or leave it as no input required: Time, Distance (Metres), Distance (Yards), Reps, or a Custom Metric.

  6. If you set an input, choose how it is scored across rounds (Sum, Best, or Average) and whether higher or lower is better.

  7. Set the default number of rounds. You can override this per workout later.

  8. Save the Circuit. It is now available anywhere you can add an exercise.

Completing a Circuit in Capture

  • Open the workout. The Circuit's name, description and any required input for each round appear on one screen.

  • If an input is set, log a value for each round.

  • If no input is set, mark the Circuit complete.

  • Circuits can be skipped or swapped like any other exercise in the workout.

Reviewing Circuit results

  • Completed Circuits with an input appear on dashboards, leaderboards, charts, and the athlete's activity feed, the same as a tracked exercise.

  • Circuits with no input show on the workout summary and activity feed, but are not included in dashboards, leaderboards or charting.

FAQ

  • Can I edit a Circuit's input type after creating it? No, the athlete input type is fixed once the Circuit is created.

  • Can I change the number of rounds for one workout without changing the Circuit itself? Yes, rounds can be overridden per workout instance.

  • Do Circuits count towards my custom exercise limit? Yes, Circuits count as custom exercises for your organisation's custom exercise cap.
